This episode of PLACES, a documentary series from AWAL, highlights Louisville, Kentucky’s close-knit and highly influential music scene through the lens of The Homies, a rap group and creative collective that has helped define the city’s sound over the past decade.

The film explores Louisville as a city where new waves of music continue to emerge, capturing the community, energy, and creative momentum surrounding The Homies. Released alongside the group’s third full-length album, It’s A Lot Going On, the episode blends performance, environment, and conversation to document a pivotal moment in the city’s evolving cultural landscape.
