Behind the Barrel is Wild Turkey’s exclusive, hands-on bourbon experience for industry professionals, offering behind-the-scenes access to the distillery and the people behind the brand. The 2019 event brought bartenders and bourbon professionals together for an immersive weekend centered on education, craftsmanship, and flavor exploration.
The experience included distillery tours led by Master Distillers Jimmy and Eddie Russell, private barrel selections from specific rickhouses and floors, guided tastings, and educational sessions exploring Wild Turkey’s classic flavor profiles. The event blended learning, heritage, and lifestyle experiences tied to the brand’s legacy.
Dan Wagner served as Director of Photography and Camera Operator, capturing all on-site action throughout the weekend. He also edited the final content, delivering polished video assets used to document and promote the experience.
